Hydrogen + Photosynthesis = Goodness
Commentary
It wasn’t too long ago that I was in a conversation with 3 people I highly respect about the new forms of energy we’re going to need to rely on. In the end, we agreed upon one thing, the next real advancement is not what energy companies are going to do, but enabling individuals to be responsible for their own energy.
A simple reason for that to be of some focus is that as interfaces use less and less muscle to use, the human body itself will need to become an energy source, in efforts for humanity to actually stay fit.
Anyhow, we disagreed on one thing; I believe hydrogen is going to be the real solution as materials become lighter and lighter, and they believe electricity will be, in the form of highly efficient rechargeables. But to me that still isn’t that great of an idea to me, due to it’s weight and required materials.
We did however agree that hydrogen storage is the problem. Well, here is the anĀ answer to this. Although they all agreed creating hydrogen takes vast amounts of energy and I do not as I’ve seen very simple and low voltage methods to create hydrogen, but I assume they were thinking on a large scale. But as the professor from MIT says, it’s not about large scale, it’s about what can a families house produce in terms of energy.
We’re in an energy crisis because of how much energy we require, not because the methods are the worst.
